Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage, also called Part C, is a way for Medicare beneficiaries to access Medicare benefits that are managed by private health plans. Medicare Advantage benefits are accessed by more than five out of every ten Medicare beneficiaries. Medicare Advantage is an important segment of the market because most Medicare Advantage plans provide prescription drug coverage, and the number of MA beneficiaries is growing faster than the fee-for-service Medicare population. This e-learning module describes patient management trends in Medicare Advantage, the quality star-ratings program, and the leading Medicare Advantage plans.
