FMLA and First Injury Reporting (Medi-Cal)
In this course, we’ll learn about the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), including when and how employees are eligible for it, what employers need to do when FMLA is requested, and examples of FMLA scenarios. We’ll also examine First Injury Reports and the responsibilities of both employees and employers in such a situation.
- Define what FMLA is, which employers are covered under FMLA, and who is eligible
- Describe responsibilities of managers, leaders, and employees when FMLA leave is needed
- Define what a First Injury Report is and when it is necessary
- Describe employer and employee responsibilities when an injury occurs
